What is the SAVE Travel ?
SAVE stands for Scientific, Academic, Volunteer and Educational Travel. This is a fast growing
group market segment, which was identified and conceptualized by The George Washington
University, USA in 20031.
Subsequently, Honduras became the first country to adopt SAVE and the National Geographic
Society’s ‘Geotourism’ approach as national tourism strategy.
